Edward Robert “Beanie” Reed, of Warren, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 11. He was born on Oct. 18 in Damariscotta to Chelsea Reed and Robert Hamilton.

James E. “Jim” Pitcher, 60, of Boothbay and Marathon, Fla., having bravely fought leukemia, died Nov. 1 at home with his family.

John F. Price, 83, of New Harbor, passed away peacefully on Dec. 28 surrounded by his loving family in the home that he and his son, Steve, designed and built.

Elaine Marie Wyman, 66, of Wiscasset, died Dec. 14 at her home surrounded by her family.

Keith W. Heiss, 88, died peacefully on Dec. 8.

Patricia Ryan, 75, of Boothbay, the first woman to be the editor of a major American weekly magazine, died Dec. 27 at her home.

Ronald Barends, 67, of Waldoboro, died on Dec. 16 at Togus VA Hospital.

Juliet Dorland, 86, of Waldoboro, died on Nov. 29 at Chase Point Assisted Living in Damariscotta after a brief battle with complications arising from breast cancer.

Benjamin E. Kirkland, 82, of Tarboro, N.C., passed away Dec. 25.

Frank Wayne Setchell, 69, of Boothbay, passed away peacefully at Maine Medical Center on Dec. 14.

Norman (Sonny) Leroy Benner, 77, of Newcastle, passed away Nov. 23 from congestive heart failure after a six-week stay at Maine Medical Center.

George “Fritz” Christ, 79, of Barrington, R.I., passed away Dec. 30 at RI Hospital surrounded by his immediate family.
