Willard “Orm” Ormond Dodge, 80, of Newcastle, passed away on the morning of Oct. 22 at the Country Manor Nursing Home in Coopers Mills. Born in Newcastle on March 9, 1933, he was the son of Charles and Martha (Laine) Dodge.

Melinda “Minnie” Guptill, 29, of Waldoboro, died unexpectedly Oct. 11 at her home.

Martha E. Simmons, 88, of Phippsburg, died Oct. 18 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.

George Henry Robbins Sr., 75, of Warren, died Oct. 9 at Togus Hospice in Augusta.

Emery “Rip” R. Jordan, 86, of East Boothbay, passed away very peacefully at the VA Togus Hospice House on Oct. 14 after a long illness.

Charlotte J. Mank, 72, passed away at the Heritage Rehab and Living Center in Winthrop on Oct. 7.

Joseph Baldridge Wentworth, 87, of Wiscasset, died Oct. 14 at the Hospice Center at the Togus Veteran’s Medical Center in Augusta surrounded by his family.

Phyllis Viola Eaton Hart, 98, former resident of Edgecomb and Wiscasset, died Oct. 7 at Thornton Oaks Retirement Community in Brunswick.

Devan James Basinet, 23, of Jefferson, passed away on Sept. 25 as a result of an automobile accident.

Melburne C. Applebee, 79, of Wiscasset, loving husband, brother, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Oct. 19 at Maine Medical Center.

Barbara “Babs” S. Read, former New Harbor resident, died Oct. 1 surrounded by family at her daughter’s home in Goodland, Fla.

Richard Carew Rice, 51, well loved and respected in the Baltimore and Damariscotta communities, died on Oct. 14 at his home in Ruxton, Md.
