Elizabeth Anne Hewitt Shadis was born on Easter Sunday, April 3, 1988 in Portland, the daughter of Anne Marie Hewitt of Bath and Matthew Alan Shadis of Edgecomb. Elizabeth died Aug. 17 at her home in San Jose, Cal.

Edward Thomas Gamage passed away on the evening of Sept. 2. Born in South Bristol, he was the son of Lettie Hodgdon Gamage and Charles Gamage.

Ruth Bernadine Hoffses, 74, of Waldoboro, passed away peacefully at Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta on Aug. 29.
