Knox Suburban scored three runs in the 6th to defeat Lincoln County 9&10 Little League baseball all-stars 14-12 Monday night and eliminate them from the District 2 playoffs.

Damariscotta and Waldoboro Babe Ruth teams battled through nine innings, before the Midcoast Babe Ruth semi-final game was suspended due to darkness July 7 in Waldoboro. Damariscotta scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to force extra innings. Both teams scored one run in the eighth and two runs in the ninth.

The Lincoln County American Legion baseball team wrapped up a whirlwind week, playing nine games in seven days. Lincoln split their games and are now 6-6.
