Wiscasset girls’ soccer started out their MVC season with two wins, but has lost their last seven, including two by one goal and two by two goals.

Albert Gray, long time softball coach at Wiscasset High School, announced he is stepping down from the position.

Nick Anderson placed 5th in 17:31, Alex Casas 12th in 18:56, Ivan Johnson 14th in 18:56 and Kyle Baubonis 19th in 19:35 to complete the scoring five.

Area games scheduled for Wed., Sept. 7 have been postponed due to rain.

The Lady Pink Panthers defeated Lincoln Academy 4-0 in their Homecoming match-up on Saturday. The win was the second for Medomak Valley.

Lincoln Academy’s golf team picked up three wins this week, beating Leavitt, Oak Hill and Mt. View.

Robbie Griffin earned his keep in the Panther net on Saturday in Medomak Valley’s 0-0 tie with Lincoln Academy.

Medomak Valley boys’ cross country team placed second in a three-team meet at Oceanside in Rockland on Sept. 2.

Ann Rollins, of Manchester, made a hole-in-one at Sheepscot Links Sept. 16 using a five iron on the 136-yard eighth hole.

Lisbon raided Wolverine country Tuesday for a 4-1 win.

The third annual Bristol Lions Golf Tournament Aug. 13 was a huge success even though no one won the hole-in-one Jeep Patriot from Newcastle Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep.

All athletic events scheduled for Wed., Aug. 24 at Medomak Valley High School and Medomak Middle School have been cancelled. There will be no practices. The MVHS soccer scrimmages against Wiscasset have been rescheduled for Thurs., Aug. 25 at the same times at 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
