‘Shrek the Musical’ Coming up at MVHS

The Medomak Valley Players will present “Shrek the Musical,” a Dreamworks Theatricals and Neal Street production, in the Ronald E. Dolloff auditorium at Medomak Valley High School, on Manktown Road in Waldoboro.

Damariscotta Police Department Winter Parking Ban

This notice is for all motorists that park on any street/road or in the municipal parking lot after hours in Damariscotta. The winter season is upon us. In accordance with the Town of Damariscotta Traffic & Parking Ordinance, Article 1.17 Winter Parking, parking is prohibited on any street, road, or municipal parking lot from Nov. 15 to April 15 between the hours of 9 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Dorothy “Doffy” Preston, 87, of Damariscotta and formerly of Round Pond, passed away on the afternoon of Oct. 29 at Chase Point in Damariscotta, surrounded by her three loving sons.

Bradley L. Jacobs April 1, 1934 - Oct. 28, 2018

Bradley L. Jacobs passed away on the evening of Oct. 28 at the Togus, VA hospital in Augusta. He was born on April 1, 1934, one of seven sons of Paul and Gertrude Feltis Jacobs of Newcastle.

Janice L. Baird Jan. 1, 1950 - Oct. 27, 2018

Janice L. Baird, 68, of Alna, passed away Oct. 27. She resided at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta since 2014 where she touched many people’s lives, residents and staff alike. Everyone there will miss her and the life she brought to them.

Paul Dedrick Service Announcement

Paul Dedrick, of Newcastle, who passed away Oct. 6, will be laid to rest at 10 a.m., Mon., Nov. 5 at the Veterans Cemetery in Augusta. It will be a small setting with military honors and no minister, just those who want to show their respect. Please dress casual, Pops didn’t wear suits.
