Clamshell Quilters to Meet Oct. 8

The Clamshell Quilters group will meet at the Faith Baptist Church on Mills Road in Newcastle Monday, Oct. 8. Guests, visitors, and new members are always welcome. There will be an informal sew-and-chat session from 2 p.m. until cleanup at around 5 p.m. Be sure to bring food and drink if planning to stay throughout the afternoon and evening.

Last Thursday, Sept. 13, we got a call from the Lincoln County sheriff, updating us on the decision of the grand jury to indict the man who killed our mother and mother-in-law, Carolyn Blouin, and his impending arrest.

Hearts Ever Young to Entertain at Pumpkinfest

Hearts Ever Young, the popular local theatrical troupe of the “more senior” members of the community who perform annually at Lincoln Theater, will share their special talents of song, dance, and comedy with the Buskers street performers during Pumpkinfest.

Ellen P. Hunter March 6, 1948 - Sept. 23, 2018

Ellen P. Hunter, age 70, went to be with our Lord on September 23, 2018 at her home in Bristol, Maine. Wife, Mother, Grammy, Sister, Family Member and Friend, she will be wholeheartedly missed by the lives she touched.

Claude Parmenter

Claude Parmenter, of Southport, passed away on Sept. 24 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
