Feeling Good in the Neighborhood
On Friday, July 27, I had the opportunity to be a part of history. I went to Lincoln Theater in Damariscotta to enjoy a documentary on the life of Mr. Fred Rogers, and apparently I was one of many around the world, as the film, “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?,” has grossed more than any other documentary film ever, anywhere.
‘Taming of the Shrew’ Sparkles at Skidompha
Performed to full houses last weekend, River Company’s “The Taming of the Shrew,” by William Shakespeare, hath hit the mark with its witty dialogue and zany antics. The cast, headed up by community members Ben Meader as Petruchio and Jessica DeLisle as Katherine, deliver strong and memorable performances, giving the audience plenty to think about when it comes to who is doing the “taming” and the moral of the story.

Date Change for Parking Lot Paving at CLC YMCA
Hagar Enterprises will commence paving the Central Lincoln County YMCA’s parking lot beginning Thursday, Aug. 9, previously scheduled for Aug. 2 but delayed due to weather. On this date, Hagar will pave a portion of the lot, and although the Y will remain open, there will be limited parking available.
