Shirley Estella Haley, 94, wife of the late Earle Haley, passed away on the evening of Sept. 25 at the LincolnHealth – Miles Campus in Damariscotta. Born on Dec. 27, 1922 in South Bristol, she was the daughter of Charles and Lettie Gamage.

George T. Farris, 76, of Nobleboro, passed away on the afternoon of Sept. 24, in the very room in which he was born, after a brave but quiet battle with cancer. Born on Jan. 21, 1941, he was the son of Charles and Caroline (Hagar) Farris.

Robert Standley Chapman, 72, of Waldoboro, passed away at Pen Bay Medical Center on June 9. He was born on Nov. 4, 1944 in Richmond, son of Robert R. Chapman Sr. and Josephine M. (Brackett) Chapman.

Francis “Frank” Xavier Giustra Jr., 80, of Waldoboro, died unexpectedly on Sept. 22 in Rockport. He was born March 10, 1937 in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Dr. Frank Xavier Giustra and Dorothy Lockhart Erb Giustra of Camden.

Valerie Jeanne Walsh, 94, of Nobleboro, died peacefully on September 6, 2017, at Chase Point, in Damariscotta. She was born on December 10, 1922 in Elyria, OH, to Lydia Marie (Kuss) and Frank A. Tite.

Josephine “Josie” T. Giles, 82, of Boothbay, passed away on the evening of Sept. 19 in her sleep at her home with her daughters by her side. Josie was born in Belfast, Ireland on March 3, 1935.

Glenwood “Glenn” Paye, 88, of Newcastle, passed away on the afternoon of Sept. 20 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta after a long illness. Born in Tupper Lake, N.Y. on April 24, 1929, he was the only son of Madeline Paye Donaldson.

Richard J. Rushmore Jr., of Apalachicola, Fla., Hampden, and Pemaquid Point, passed away peacefully at his home on Sept. 9 after a three-year battle with cancer.

Jody A. Barnes, of Whitefield, passed away on Sept. 6 at Maine Medical Center in Portland, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Peggy J. Reynolds, 73, of Waldoboro, passed away with her family by her side on Sept. 18 at the Sussman House in Rockport.

Maynard Trescott Taylor, 81, of Westport Island, and Largo, Fla., passed away on Aug. 14 with family by his side at Winship Green in Bath.

Marilyn A. (Jones) Sewell, 62, passed away on Sept. 11 with her family by her side.

Elizabeth “Betty” House, 83, lifelong resident of South Bristol, passed away peacefully on the evening of Sept. 11 at the Sussman House in Rockport.

Timothy Christian “Tim” Glendinning, 20, of Boxford, Mass., died unexpectedly, following a tragic accident with a motor vehicle on Sept. 5.
