The Town of Westport Island is accepting bids for ditching & culvert replacement on lower West Shore Rd. and lower Main Rd. A detailed Request for Proposals is available on the Town website at www.westportisland.gov/news or from the Westport Island Town Office on 6 Fowles Point Rd. during normal business hours.

Due to a shortage of staff, the Jefferson Town Office will be closed on a daily basis between the hours of 12:00pm to 1:00pm until further notice – no exceptions.

The Town of Bremen is receiving bids from contractors to furnish materials and install a five-home septic system in the Town of Bremen.

The Town Office of Bremen will be closed Tuesday, July 23rd for staff training.

Notice is hereby given that, due to a scheduling conflict, the Newcastle Planning Board had postponed the Planning Board meeting originally scheduled for Thursday, June 20, 2024, until Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 6:30pm. The meeting will still be held at the Clayton V. Huntley Jr. Fire Station, located at 86 River Rd, Newcastle. The agenda remains unchanged and includes a Small Project Plan and Shoreland Zoning Application for a pier at Map 003, Lot 065-B (Profenno, 135 Perkins Point Rd).

Please take notice that Clippership, LLC (the “Applicant”), with principal offices at 217 Commercial Street, Portland, Maine 04112 intends to file a Site Location of Development Act Permit Amendment application and a Natural Resources Protection Act Tier 1 application with the Maine Department of Environmental Protection pursuant to the provisions of 38 M.R.S.A. § § 481 through 490 38 M.R.S and § 480-A through 480-BB, respectively, on or about June 21st, 2024 for the construction of a memory care facility. The site is located at Piper Mill Road in the Town of Damariscotta.

As required by Section 6 of the State of Maine Rules Relating to Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund Chapter 230, the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) staff prepared a “Justification for Categorical Exclusion” on behalf of Great Salt Bay Sanitary District of Damariscotta, Maine to exempt a proposed project from the formal environmental review requirements.
