Damariscotta Bankshares Inc. Declares Annual Cash Dividend

Scott D. Conant, president and chief executive officer of Damariscotta Bankshares Inc., the parent company of Damariscotta Bank & Trust Co., announced that the company has declared an annual cash dividend of $0.40 per share on the company’s common stock. The cash dividend will be payable to all shareholders of record as of March 20 and will be paid on April 3.

Bristol Road Sidewalk Work Could Begin This Fall

The town of Damariscotta hopes to begin the long-awaited construction of a sidewalk on Bristol Road from downtown Damariscotta to LincolnHealth’s Miles Campus by the fall.

Is it that I’m getting older or is it that I just have too many things to do? Whatever the reason, it seems to take me longer to do whatever the task is at hand and I can only do one thing at a time. Stephen W. Gracie, 61, of Bremen, passed away Feb. 15 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born July 14, 1955 in South Hope, the son of Stanley Allen and Lottie (Whitney) Gracie.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper

The fourth annual Shrove Tuesday, or Fat Tuesday, pancake supper will be held at the Second Congregational Church, UCC in Newcastle on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. in the church’s fellowship hall. Shrove Tuesday is the last day of Mardi Gras, and the last day before Lent.

Silent Auction at Food Pantry Supper

Members of the public are invited to a silent auction and pasta supper from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Meenahga Grange, 860 Main St., Waldoboro.
