The Wiscasset Police Department has recovered two kayaks, believed stolen from the Waldoboro area, as the result of a traffic stop. The owner of the kayaks is asked to call the department at 882-8203.

Pemaquid Point Lighthouse Park to Open May 21
Pemaquid Point Lighthouse Park will open Thursday, May 21 and Pemaquid Beach Park will open either the last week of June or July 1. Both parks will open with restrictions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Meanwhile, the Pemaquid Beach Triathlon will not take place this year.

LA senior Tiger Cumming has loved baseball since he was four years old. Through the years he played T-ball, farm league, little league, middle school ball, Babe Ruth league, high school ball, and American Legion, and Amateur Athletic Union. He was the only ninth grader to make varsity his freshman year at LA. So when coronavirus ended his final baseball season before it started, it hit him hard.
Mountain Biking Lincoln County
There are several places to go mountain biking in Lincoln County. The best two choices are the Schmid Preserve in Edgecomb and Hidden Valley Nature Center in Jefferson. In addition, Oxbow Brewing Co. in Newcastle offers a 1.5-mile blue-blazed mountain bike trail on hilly terrain.
