Top seed Bristol boys basketball team defeated second ranked Woolwich 66-25 in the Busline League South Division championships on Feb. 8 to advance to the championship game, to be played on Feb. 11 at Lincoln Academy at 10 a.m. Leading the Blue Devils in scoring were Malachi Farrin with 27 points, Joey Crooker 17 and Koleman Chesebro 10. Woolwich was led by Jacob Colby-Bunell with 13.
Tuesday Night Basketball Round-Up
Lincoln Academy boys basketball team defeated Camden Hills in Rockport 68-59 on Feb. 7. Gabe Hagar settled four foul shots and Braxton Crockett two in the final 31 seconds to seal the win for the Eagles. Lincoln was led by Hagar with 16 points, Tucker Stiles 15, Lucas Houghton 14 and Jake Masters 13. Camden was led by Will Duke with 23 and Nolan Ames 19.
Seahawks Win Double Header in Wiscasset
Boothbay boys and girls were victorious in Wiscasset in a double header on February 6. Boothbay girls won 58-13, led by Magen Burge with 21 points, and Kathryn Hibbard 10. Wiscasset was led by Makayla Bush with 4, and Olivia Marshall 3.
Teams Advance to Busline South Division Championship Game
Nobleboro girls basketball team defeated South Bristol 47-36 on February 6 to advance to the Busline League Small School South Division championship game. The Lions were led by Lilly LaBrie with 18 points, Rowan Coffin 11 and Brea Lafrenaye 10. The Mariners were led by Izzy Bhe with 24 points. Nobleboro will take on Boothbay on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 3:45 p.m.
Medomak Valley Cheerleaders Win 12th Straight Regional Championship
Medomak Valley cheerleaders won the South Class B cheering championships on Feb. 4 at Sanford High School. The Regional title is the 12th straight for the Panther squad. Medomak scored 75.85 points to beat out; 2. Gray NG 71.3; 3. Leavitt 68.4; 4. Erskine 66.9; 5. Morse 47.7; 6. Gardiner- Hall-Dale 40.4; 7. Lincoln Academy 38.05; 8. Poland 33.8; and 9. Oceanside 27.1

Lincoln Academy boys basketball team defeated Morse 62-34 in the Eagles’ nest on Feb. 3. The Eagles were led by Gabe Hagar 14, Braxton Crockett 10, and Jack Duncan 8. The Shipbuilders were led by Gabe Morrison 9 and Gavin Bailargeon 8.
Boothbay Boys Tame Cobras, Wolverines Lose to Buckfield
Boothbay boys basketball team tamed the Cobras at Carrabec on February 2. The Seahawks trailed in first half action, before knotting the score 29-29 at the end of three. Boothbay was led by Gryffin Kristan with 14, and Luke Morely 12. Carrabec was led by Joe Gerhke 12 and Luke Carey 10.

Sixth seed Wiscasset knocked off third seed Nobleboro 68-47 on Feb. 1 in the first round of the Busline League playoffs. Wiscasset takes on Woolwich at Woolwich on Monday, Feb. 6 at 3:45 p.m. Wiscasset was led by Landin Shirey with 32 points (5-3’s) and Teagan Marr 11. Nobleboro was led by Oliver Blakesly 17 and Tyson Brown 13.

Medomak Middle School won their 11th straight Busline League cheering championship on February 1 at MMS in Waldoboro.
Boothbay Boys Beat Mt.Valley, Wiscasset Boys Lose
In a rare MVC double header, Mt.Valley defeated Wiscasset 68-35, and lost to Boothbay Region 61-46 on January 31. Leading the Falcons at Wiscasset were Zach New with 14 points. The Wolverines were led by Dylan Akers with 13 and Jevar Garricks 9.

Three Lincoln County Wrestlers Win KVAC Titles
Three Lincoln County wrestlers won KVAC championships on January 28 at Cony High School in Augusta. Adam St.Cyr (LA-120), Jayden Lafrenaye (LA-152), and Timber Parlin (EA- 182) placed first; Shamus Pease (MV-145), Giacomo Smith (EA-138), and Marsahll Addy (MV-220) placed third; and Cole Workman (LA-126) placed fourth.
