Three local athletes won State championship on Saturday, June 4. Boothbay’s Kaden Ames won the State Class C discus championship with a throw of 143’11”. Lincoln Academy’s Erica Johnson won the State Class B triple jump (34’7″). Medomak Valley’s Annie Vannoy won the State Class B 800m run in 2:20.58.

Medomak Valley girls summer basketball camp will be held in three sessions, June 27-30, July 5-8, and July 11-14. The camp is open for girls entering grades 2-9.

Lincoln Academy boys lacrosse team will travel to 4th seed Wells on Wednesday, June 8 for a Class C preliminary game. The game starts at 6 p.m.

Medomak Valley baseball and softball teams will host Morse on Monday, June 6 at 3 p.m. in South Class B preliminary games.

Fifth seed Lincoln Academy girls lacrosse team will host 12th seed Winslow on June 7 at 3 pm in a preliminary playoff game.

Lincoln Academy baseball and softball teams will be on the road on Tuesday, June 7 for round of 16 playoff games.

Medomak Middle and High School will host three Busline League Division championship on Saturday, June. 3.

Lincoln Academy softball defeated Morse 4-3 on May 31. Grace Houghton struck out 13 in the win. Trailing by one, the Lady Eagles rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh to win. Houghton and Paige Lafrenaye walked, and pinch runner Bronwen Coffin scored on a passed ball to tie the game, and Lafrenaye scored on a wild pitch for the game winner.
