Three County Athletes Crowned State Track and Field Champions Kaden Ames, Erica Johnson and Annie Vannoy
Three local athletes won State championship on Saturday, June 4. Boothbay’s Kaden Ames won the State Class C discus championship with a throw of 143’11”. Lincoln Academy’s Erica Johnson won the State Class B triple jump (34’7″). Medomak Valley’s Annie Vannoy won the State Class B 800m run in 2:20.58.
Medomak Girls Summer Basketball Camp
Medomak Valley girls summer basketball camp will be held in three sessions, June 27-30, July 5-8, and July 11-14. The camp is open for girls entering grades 2-9.

Top seed Lincoln Academy girls tennis team stroked past ninth seed York 5-0 on June 2 in a South Class B quarter-final match-up. Olivia Nixon swept the courts clean against Sophie Pike, 6-0, 6-0 at first single. Laura Mueller defeated Sam McCowan 6-1, 6-0 at second singles.

Senior Ally Creamer fired up a two-hitter in Medomak Valley softball’s 10-0 six inning mercy ruling win over Oceanside on May 31.

Medomak Valley baseball won their KVAC finale 2-0 over Oceanside on May 31 in the Panthers den. Matt Holbrook struck out 12 in the win. Duncan Oakes-Nelson threw a two hitter in the loss.
York Upsets Medomak Girls Tennis York 3 - Medomak 2
York raided the Panther den for a 3-2 win in girls tennis preliminary action on May 31. Three matches went to three sets in the hotly contested match-up.
Lincoln Academy Splits with Morse KVAC season finale
Lincoln Academy softball defeated Morse 4-3 on May 31. Grace Houghton struck out 13 in the win. Trailing by one, the Lady Eagles rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh to win. Houghton and Paige Lafrenaye walked, and pinch runner Bronwen Coffin scored on a passed ball to tie the game, and Lafrenaye scored on a wild pitch for the game winner.
Lincoln Boys Third, Girls Fourth at KVAC Championships
Lincoln Academy boys placed third at the KVAC small school championships, held at Cony High School in Augusta on May 27. Leavitt won with 195.5 points to beat Winslow 136. Lincoln scored 91.
