LA’s State Champion Robotics Team To Defend Title
Lincoln Academy’s robotics team 8030A will represent Lincoln Academy and defend their state championship title on Saturday, March 1 at the VEX Robotics Maine State Championships in Portland. LA senior Joseph Levesque, juniors Keiran Roopchand and Kieron Karani, and sophomore Noah Garnett are the team members who engineer and operate robot 8030A.
Roomful of Blues Concert Canceled
The Roomful of Blues concert scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23 at Medomak Valley High School has been canceled. The concert was set to be part of Lincoln County Television’s Classic Concert Series.
Valentines for Round Pond Green
Daisy Girl Scout Troop 1754 made valentines for the residents of Round Pond Green at their recent meeting. The girls put much effort into creating the cards and made excellent use of the various stickers, markers, and craft supplies available.

Brightfield Students Visit FARMS at the Y
On Jan. 31, third and fourth grade students from the Brightfield School for Place-Based Education in Bath traveled to the Central Lincoln County YMCA in Damariscotta where they met with educator Lorna Fake at the FARMS at the Y kitchen for a cooking and poetry adventure.
South Bristol Ice Harvest Postponed to Feb. 22
Due to the storm forecasted for the weekend, the traditional ice harvest at Thompson Ice House in South Bristol has been postponed to Saturday, Feb. 22. The event will still take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Coastal Kids Preschool celebrated Groundhog Day with its very own local celebrity, Tippy, an animal ambassador for the Chewonki Traveling Natural History Program. Although Tippy may not be a weather expert, she brought a living embodiment of animal adaptations to Coastal Kids Preschool.

Jevar Garricks, a senior at Wiscasset Middle High School, became a U.S. citizen in a recent naturalization ceremony in Portland.
