Wardman Group Acquires Ocean Gate Resort
The Wardman Group, a Washington, D.C.-based real estate investment firm, has acquired Ocean Gate Resort and has engaged Massachusetts-based Scout Hotel & Resort Management as its operator. Ocean Gate Resort is a 65-room waterfront resort just two-and-a-half miles from the popular town of Boothbay Harbor. A New England favorite for family vacations and special events, the resort opened in the mid-1950s and had been owned and operated by GEM Hospitality Group since 2006.
Van Lloyd’s Bistro Offers Weekday Comfort Menu
Van Lloyd’s Bistro in Damariscotta will run its new Winter Comfort Menu each week from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, beginning Tuesday, Dec. 5. The new menu will contain dishes like poutine and nachos, as well as heartier items like fresh chili and cassoulet.
