NWS: ‘Treacherous Travel’ and ‘Low Visibility’ as Winds Continue
The blizzard warning may have expired at 7 p.m., but effects of the storm that battered Lincoln County during the overnight hours of Sunday and through Monday are still lingering. The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement that gusty northwest winds running along the backside of the passing weather front will continue through tonight. Blowing and drifting snow will remain an issue, making travel treacherous and visibility low in some cases, according to the NWS.
Power Outages in Boothbay Harbor; Other Areas Faring Well
The Central Maine Power Co. is reporting 182 power outages in Boothbay Harbor concentrated in the Spruce Point area, as of the 2:06 p.m. CMP report. The rest of Lincoln County appears to be faring well as blizzard conditions begin to dissipate in the area. The only other outages presently reported are in South Bristol, with two households affected on Winks Way.

NWS: Blizzard Watch Issued for Next Storm Due Sunday, Monday
Just as the first weather system to bring snowfall to Lincoln County this weekend began to move out, a blizzard watch has been issued by the National Weather Service for a second system due to arrive Sunday.
NWS Storm Warning in Effect for Saturday; Most Snowfall and Wind for Sunday and Monday
Steady snowfall was overspreading Lincoln County on Saturday in advance of another, more robust system forecast to chug through the area from Sunday through Monday. Snowfall totals for both storms are now projected at between 18 and 26 inches, according to the National Weather Service.
