Jefferson Historical Society Open House Aug. 30
The Jefferson Historical Society will host another open house at the old Jefferson town house from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 30. There are three floors of exhibits related to Jefferson’s history, plus the Bond family hearse and the original privy which had been attached to the building.

His talk will be the final installment of the Old Bristol Historical Society’s summer speaker series.
V.E.T.S. Picnic Fundraiser
Boothbay V.E.T.S. (Veterans Emergency Temporary Shelter) with hold its annual barbeque picnic fundraiser from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19 at 36 Industrial Park in Boothbay. The fundraiser is to help build more emergency shelters for veterans.
Bands for Books Silent Auction Sept. 4
On Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 4 from 5-7 p.m. at Lakehurst Lodge in Damariscotta, the Bands for Books fundraiser for the Wiscasset Public Library will again feature its silent auction.
WW&F Railway Hosts Annual Picnic Aug. 12-13
