Phil passed away peacefully at sunrise while home with his wife and children on Jan. 8, 2023.

Elizabeth Lincoln Page, age 98, passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 30, 2023 in her long-term care residence at 913 Depot St. in Waldoboro.

Nina Lee Doele Brown, 96, passed away on Jan. 26, 2023 after a brief illness. She was born on Aug. 12, 1926 in Paterson, N.J., oldest of five children of Herbert and Nina Lee Doele. She grew up in Ridgewood, N.J.

Kernan Cross, a long-time Midcoast businessman and fixture in several community performing arts groups, passed away Jan. 13, 2022 in Brunswick.

Robert Hall Baird Sr. passed away and went to be with the Lord on Dec. 31, 2022, with family by his side at LincolnHealth Hospital in Damariscotta after a brief illness at the age of 96 years old. Born on April 14, 1926, in Edgecomb to Frank and Ellen Baird, Bob grew up in Sheepscot/Newcastle.

Edward “Fred” Thomas Kretschmer Jr., longtime Pioneertown, Calif. and Pemaquid resident, 68, passed away Dec. 26, 2022.

Paul Fossett Sproul, 73, of Round Pond, passed away Dec. 28, 2022 with his wife, Norma, and family by his side.

Barbara Jane Frederick, 89, of Topsham, died peacefully at the Midcoast Senior Health Center on Dec. 11, 2022 with her family at her side.

Marjorie E. Rackliff, 93, of Dresden, died on Monday, Jan. 23, 2023, at Augusta Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Augusta.

Jerry Wayne Closson Jr., “Wayne,” 61, of Boothbay Harbor, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Jan. 24, 2023 after a brief illness.

Cody Robert Chase, 29, of Augusta, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Jan. 20, 2023. He was born in Damariscotta on April 5, 1993, the son of Anissa and Ryan Chase.

Dorothy Banks Wing passed away on Dec. 14, 2022 after a brief illness surrounded by her loved ones. Dottie was born to the late Irving and Cynthia Banks on Feb. 2, 1944 in Jefferson. She was a 1962 graduate of Lincoln Academy where she participated in several clubs and was a member of the National Honor Society.

On Jan. 18, 2023, Richard “Dick” Wilshire, 89, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many passed at the Sussman House where he was surrounded by family and friends.
