A memorial picnic in Susan Schofield’s honor will be held on Saturday, July 10 at 2 p.m. at Fort Eddy in Edgecomb. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy with friends and family. In the event of rain, the service will be held at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church Parish Hall, located at 12 Hodge St. in Wiscasset.

A memorial service for Lucy Arlene (Hagar) Russell, who passed away in Florida on March 19, will be held on Saturday, July 17. There will be a time of visitation from 9-10 a.m., at the Strong-Hancock Funeral Home in Damariscotta, where a service will follow the visitation at 10 a.m. She will be laid to rest following the service in the Alna Cemetery.

Clarissa “Chris” Miller Achorn died suddenly on Friday, June 11, 2021, at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro, N.H. She was born on June 4, 1925, and celebrated her 96th birthday the week before her passing.

Philip H. Hansen III Nov. 15, 1941 - June 25, 2021

Philip H. Hansen III, 79, died Friday, June 25, 2021 at The Landing at Saco Bay, a memory care facility in Saco where he had resided since 2017. A graduate of Bowdoin College in Brunswick and Union Theological Seminary in New York City, Phil was a revered secondary school educator who earned an international reputation as a skilled debate and Model U.N. coach.

Stanley Alley Wall, 74, of Bristol, passed away on the morning of June 25, 2021 surrounded by his loving family after a period of declining health. Born on May 11, 1947 in Damariscotta, he was the son of Martin and Lillian (Lessner) Wall.
