Thomas Winkley died unexpectedly at home on Dec. 2, 2024. He was 42.

Joan L. Moody went home to be with the lord on Dec. 20, 2024. Joan was 94. She passed away at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta. Joan was born on June 7, 1930 in Revere, Mass., to Waldemar and Florence Christianson. Joan was the second of seven children.

David L. Gallagher, 72, of Bristol, passed away on the morning of Dec. 20, 2024, due to illness, with his loving wife by his side. Born in Bath on Sept. 18, 1952, he was the son of Lawrence and Edith Gallagher.

Sarah Elizabeth Lewis Powers, known to the world as Sally, left us on Dec. 12, 2024. She leaves behind her beloved son, Roman. Tragically, Sally’s husband, Tom Powers, died only a few weeks ago. Roman has lost both his parents. Please keep Roman in your thoughts.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Ronald Anthony “Tony” Smith, who left us unexpectedly at the age of 36 on Dec. 10, 2024. Tony was a loving husband, father, and uncle; cherished son and nephew; loyal brother; and friend, and he will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Pamela Kent Laak, 92, passed away in the early morning of May 21, 2024, while her son Bruce sat next to her, holding her hands. A daughter of Lewis Shaw Kent and Madelyn Ames Kent and the second of five children, she was born on Feb. 18, 1932, in Montclair, N.J. but spent her childhood growing up in Chatham, Mass.

Marie E. (Rich) Lane was born on Jan. 25, 1932, in Medford, Mass., and passed away peacefully on Dec. 7, 2024, in Lisbon Falls, with her loving family by her side.

Alan Wilson Zeller II, lovingly known as “Chops,” passed away peacefully at home in Newcastle, on Dec. 15, 2024. Born on May 23, 1957 in Hanover, N.H., Chops lived a life defined by resilience, kindness, and a boundless zest for life.

Richard Prentice Sr. (Dad, “Bamp,” and an honorary grandfather to many) passed peacefully at his home on Dec. 14, 2024 at the age of 92, surrounded by his loving family.

George Harry Leonard, of Owls Head, passed away on Dec. 12, 2024, at the age of 76. He was born in Rockland on June 23, 1948, the fourth of eight of Joseph Sr. and Barbara Leonard. He worked as a lobsterman, a miner in Wyoming, button factory worker in Waldoboro, Crowe Rope in Warren, and more than 20 years at Fischer Engineering in Rockland (where he was lovingly known as “Grumpy”).

Louis H. Brown Sr., 92, passed away on Friday, Dec. 13, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Wade on April 25, 1932, a son of Clarence C. and Jennie (Skinner) Brown.

Andrea Stevenson died unexpectedly at her home in Centerville, Mass., on Dec. 6, 2024. She was 44 years old.
