Raymond E. Joslyn, also fondly known as “Butch” to many, the unofficial mayor of Windsor, passed away at his home on Nov. 2, 2024 at the age of 77. He was a beloved and legendary figure in town, known by all for his sense of humor and unique personality.

Blythe Bickel Edwards left the world and her family on Nov. 1, 2024. She was born on June 1, 1941 in Pittsburgh and educated at Farmington and Wellesley College.

Virginia Betts, 82, beloved sister, grandmother, mom, and friend died peacefully at home with her family on Oct. 30 in Bremen.

Fernald Hamilton Bailey, 97, of Jefferson, peacefully went home to be with the lord on Nov. 4, 2024, at LincolnHealth’s Miles Campus. Born on Oct. 11, 1927, at home on the family farm on the Ridge Road in Jefferson, he was the son of Perley and Thelma Bailey.

Joyce Ellen Humason, 92, of Alna, passed away in her sleep on the morning of Oct. 30, 2024, at St. Andrews Village in Boothbay Harbor. Born in Alna on Sept. 30, 1932, she was the daughter of Clarence and Avis (Hassan) Rankin.

Gloria Mae Ouellette, 84, passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on Nov. 2, 2024.

Carol Ann Hornsby Smith, 78, passed away peacefully on Nov. 1, 2024, at the Harbor View Cottage of The Lincoln Home in Newcastle, following a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Evelyn Louise Hanson, 93, of Wiscasset, passed away on Nov. 1, 2024 at LincolnHealth’s Miles Campus.

Louise M. Harrison, 93, of Birch Point Road, Wiscasset, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Monday, Oct. 28, 2024, at Thornton Hall in Brunswick.

Joan I. Brann, 98, was born in Mexico, Maine on Aug. 24, 1926, to Henry Duguay and Clara Poulin Duguay and passed away on Oct. 25, 2024 at the Augusta Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing.

The world lost an excellent brother, uncle, friend, and machinist as Carl D. Waterman passed away at home in Waldoboro on Oct. 25, 2024, after a period of failing health. Carl was born to the late Drs. Richard and Dorothy Waterman, on Feb. 20, 1954, and lived his life in Waldoboro.

Kevin Leigh Benner Jr., 37, of Boynton Beach, Fla., died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024 at Delray Medical Center, after a sudden brain injury. Kevin was born on Jan. 6, 1987 in Bath, the son of Kevin L. and Rhonda Storer Benner.

Michael A. Cheney, 68, of Dresden, passed away Oct. 19, 2024, in the comfort of his home with his wife and son by his side. Mike was born in Gardiner, Feb. 20, 1956, to Darrell and Inez Cheney.
