Four-Vehicle Crash Closes Route 17
A four-vehicle crash on Route 17 in Jefferson, Wednesday, Aug. 3, sent two individuals to the hospital, and closed the road for several hours while investigators and responders cleared the scene.
Operator Identified in Fatal Southport Crash
An 18-year-old Massachusetts man died in Southport last week when the motor vehicle he was operating left the roadway sometime after midnight, struck a tree, and burst into flames.

July 18, Chuck D. Schooley, 49, of Wiscasset, was arrested for gross sexual assault, on Fowle Hill Road, Wiscasset, by Detective Sgt. Ronald Rollins.

Fatality Reported in Southport Crash
At press time Wednesday, July 27, The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal single vehicle crash in Southport.

Arrests
July 19, Seth Lavoie, 30, of Portland, was arrested on a Rockwood, N.H. Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to appear and was issued a summons from Lincoln County on a fugitive from justice charge, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Kasey Doyle.
