Three Lincoln County Wrestlers Win KVAC Titles
Three Lincoln County wrestlers won KVAC championships on January 28 at Cony High School in Augusta. Adam St.Cyr (LA-120), Jayden Lafrenaye (LA-152), and Timber Parlin (EA- 182) placed first; Shamus Pease (MV-145), Giacomo Smith (EA-138), and Marsahll Addy (MV-220) placed third; and Cole Workman (LA-126) placed fourth.

Medomak Valley girls basketball team defeated Leavitt in the Hornets nest45-32 on Jan. 27. The Panthers were led by Addison McCormick with 17 points, and Audrey Jackson, Maddi Simmons and Maya Cannon with 6 each. Leavitt was led by Gabby Smith with 13 points.

Lincoln Academy boys defeated visiting Mt.View 90-56 on Jan. 24. The Eagles fell behind 14-6 in the first quarter, before rallying to take a 21-18 lead at the end of one. Lincoln went on a 14-4 run to kick off the second period. The Eagles led 37-28 at the half, and 62-45 at the end of three.
Hot Shooting Mariners Tame Panthers Oceanside 65 - Medomak 46
Oceanside put on a shooting clinic to beat the Pink Panthers 65-46 in KVAC boys basketball action on January 21 in Waldoboro.
Kents Hill Clip Wiscasset
Kents Hill robbed the Wolverines den for a 47-19 win on Jan. 21 in MVC girls basketball action. Kents Hill was led by 10 points from Lucy McDonald and eight from Logan McDonald. Wiscasset was led by Qiana Hyman with 10 points and Laila Dicus 7.

Wiscasset boys basketball team lost 80-19 on a long road trip to Carrabec on Jan. 21. The Cobras were led by Luke Cory with 23 and Bobby Lendon 13. Wiscasset was led by Jevar Garricks with 5, and Dylan Akers and Mason Clark 3 each.
Eagles Double Trouble for Hornets
Lincoln Academy boys and girls basketball teams defeated Leavitt on Jan. 21. The Lady Eagles hosted the Hornets, and won 37-36. Lincoln trailed by seven early in the final period, before rallying for the win. LA sank four of six foul shots in the final two minutes of play to build a four point lead, led by a three for four effort from Natalie Kaler. Gabby Smith hit a 3-pointer for the Hornets with nine seconds remaining.
Erskine Academy Wins KVAC Cheering Title
Erskine Academy won the KVAC Class B cheering championship on Sat., Jan. 21 at the Augusta Civic Center. Erskine scored 60.3 to beat out Leavitt 57.45, Nokomis 54.6, Brewer 51.6, Winslow 49, Morse 46.9. Lawrence 41.85, Waterville- Messalonskee 39.85, Belfast 39.1, Medomak Valley 35.3, Oceanside 31.5, Lincoln Academy 31.4, and Gardiner 25.6.
