Lincoln Boys Open Season with a Win Lincoln 55 - Leavitt 47
Lincoln Academy opened their KVAC season with a 55-47 win over Leavitt on Dec. 9 in the Eagles nest. Lincoln jumped out to an 18-6 first quarter lead, and never relinquished it. The Eagles were led by Gabe Hagar with 23 points, Tucker Stiles 11 and Lucas Houghton 10. The Hornets were led by Sawyer Hathaway with 16 and Brett Coburn 11.
Mobius Students Celebrate Return to In-Person Karate at the Y
Linda Porter’s favorite words are “I’ll try.”
Porter has been the sensei of a karate class filled with Mobius clients at the CLC YMCA in Damariscotta for the past five years. She has taught karate, including to special needs children and adults, for 25 years, starting in western Massachusetts, where she owned her own studio. Her son has Asperger’s syndrome and took karate classes beginning at age 6.

Undefeated Leavitt Stings the Panthers 46-6 In State Class C title game
Undefeated Leavitt beat Medomak Valley football 46-6 in the State Class C football championships, at Cameron Stadium in Bangor on Nov. 19. Hayden Staples put the Panthers on the boards in the fourth quarter with a short run. Jaiden Starr set up the goal with a 30 yard kick off return. Staples and Chase Peaslee ran for first downs to get Staples within striking distance.
Medomak Football to Play for North C Regional Title Friday, November 11 at 6 p.m.
Medomak Valley football will take on the Hermon Hawks for the North Class C Regional title on Friday, Nov. 11 at 6 p.m. at Hampden Academy.
Medomak Football Advances to Regional C Final Medomak 21 - Winslow 13
Medomak Valley football defeated Winslow 21-13 on Nov. 5 in a North Class C Regional semi-final match-up at McMann Field in Bath. The Panthers took a 7-0 lea on a 2o yard pass from Wyatt Simmons to Gabe Lash in the end zone with 5:58 left in the first quarter. Gavin Clark kicked the extra point.

Medomak Valley football defeated Belfast to advance to the Class C North Semi-finals against Winslow. The semi-final game will be played on Saturday, Nov. 5 at McMann Field in Bath.

Lincoln Academy girls cross country team ran to a second place finish in state Class B, the team’s highest placement in the program’s history.

Medomak Valley football wrapped up their season with a 6-2 record, and the top seed in Class C North Crabtree Standings. The Panthers defeated eighth seed Belfast 51-0 on Sat., Oct. 29 in a quarter-final game at McMann Field in Bath.
Boothbay-Wiscasset Boys Fourth in State Class C
Boothbay-Wiscasset boys ran to a fourth place finish in State Class C Cross Country action at Twin Brook Recreation in Cumberland on October 29. Bryan Gagnon led the charge with a 12th place finish, to garner a top 30 award.
Lincoln Girls State Class B Runners-Up Hufnagel and Collamore run to top 10 finishes
Lincoln Academy girls cross country team ran to a second place finish in the State Class B Championships, held October 29 at Twin Brook Recreation in Cumberland. York girls won the State title. Audrey Hufnagel led the Lady Eagles with an eighth place finish. Rounding out the scoring five for LA were 15. Dylan Burmeister, 16. Adeline Hall, 24. Maddy Kallin and 33. Maggie Thompson.
Coach Simmons Named Maine Cheering Coach of the Year
Medomak Valley cheerleading coach Heather Simmons has been named 2021-22 NFHS Maine Cheering Coach of the Year.
