Santa Claus arrived at the Bremen town office by fire truck on Sunday, Dec. 11, to the delight of children from Bremen and surrounding communities. It was the first time in three years that Santa was able to make it out in public in Bremen.

Medomak Valley boys and girls basketball games with Mt.View, scheduled for Friday, Dec. 16, have been postponed due to the storm.
Wiscasset Basketball Games Postponed
Wiscasset Middle High School boys and girls basketball games, scheduled for Friday, Dec. 16 (boys and girls vs. Buckfield) and Saturday, Dec. 17 (boys vs. Mt.Valley) , have been postponed do to snow inland. No make-up date has been set yet.
Lincoln Academy Sports Postponed December 9 & 10
Basketball games between Lincoln Academy and Gardiner, scheduled for Friday, Dec. 16, have been postponed (no school in Gardiner) due to the expected snow storm. They will be made up on Thursday, Jan. 19, JV-5 and VAR-6:30, girls at LA and boys at Gardiner.
Swim Meet Postponed Moved to Tuesday, Dec. 20
The Lincoln Academy and Wiscasset/ Boothbay swim meet scheduled for Friday, Dec. 16, with Cony, has been postponed. It will be made up on Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 6 p.m. The meet will be held at the Wiscasset Community Center.

Medomak Valley boys basketball team picked up their first win of the season, 65-27 on a road trip to Leavitt. Kory Donlin led all scorers with a career high 27 points (3-3’s).

Boothbay Region boys opened their Mt.Valley Conference season with a 63-49 win on the road at Madison on Dec. 10.
Hornets Sting the Lady Eagles Leavitt 47 - LIncoln 32
Leavitt defeated Lincoln Academy girls basketball team 47-32 in their KVAC opener in the Hornets nest on Dec. 9. There were no last names listed in the book for Leavitt. The Eagles were led by Mariam Delisle and Reegan Dunican with 8 each and Natalie Kaler 7.
Mariners Clip Lady Panthers Oceanside 47 - Medomak 35
Defending state champion Oceanside defeated Medomak Valley 47-35 in the Panthers den on Dec. 9 in their KVAC opener.
Lincoln Boys Open Season with a Win Lincoln 55 - Leavitt 47
Lincoln Academy opened their KVAC season with a 55-47 win over Leavitt on Dec. 9 in the Eagles nest. Lincoln jumped out to an 18-6 first quarter lead, and never relinquished it. The Eagles were led by Gabe Hagar with 23 points, Tucker Stiles 11 and Lucas Houghton 10. The Hornets were led by Sawyer Hathaway with 16 and Brett Coburn 11.
Mobius Students Celebrate Return to In-Person Karate at the Y
Linda Porter’s favorite words are “I’ll try.”
Porter has been the sensei of a karate class filled with Mobius clients at the CLC YMCA in Damariscotta for the past five years. She has taught karate, including to special needs children and adults, for 25 years, starting in western Massachusetts, where she owned her own studio. Her son has Asperger’s syndrome and took karate classes beginning at age 6.
