Lady Mariners Nip Eagles Oceanside 64 - Lincoln 48
A shorthanded Lincoln Academy girls basketball team lost to Oceanside 64-48 on Jan. 31 in the Mariners harbor. The good news for the Lady Eagles was getting Payson Kaler back in the line-up, but Lincoln had four players go out with injuries in the game, bringing the total on their disabled list to six.

Nokomis girls basketball team (6-9) defeated Medomak Valley (5-11) 51-38 on Jan. 28 at Nokomis. The Lady Panthers’ loss drops them to ninth place, and boosts Nokomis to eighth in North A Heal Point standings. The top eight teams move on to post season play.
Cougars Double Trouble for Wolverines
Dirigo was double trouble for the Wolverines in a boys and girls basketball double header in the Cougars den on Jan. 28. Dirigo boys defeated Wiscasset 71-28 led by Wyatt Smith 11, PJ Merrill 10 and Mike Packard 10. Wiscasset was led by Billy Pinkham with 14.
