The town of Bristol will break ground on the new Veterans’ Memorial River Walk at Ellingwood Park in Bristol Mills on Thursday, Nov. 11, following three years of fundraising and preparation. 

Members of the Hearts Ever Young performance group gathered at the front porch at Damariscotta’s Hodgdon Green Senior Living Home, braving cold and rain, to celebrate Lila Blechman’s 100th birthday on Oct. 27. 

Wiscasset Select Board will hold a public hearing Nov. 16 to receive comments on the redevelopment of Wiscasset Primary School on Gardiner Road to a senior living facility operated by Optimus Senior Living.

Wiscasset voters lined the halls of the Wiscasset Community Center Nov. 2 to vote in a special town meeting with nine questions on the warrant. About 1,295 votes were cast, according to moderator Joan Barnes.

On Aug. 30, a motorcycle went off the road in Wiscasset. According to Wiscasset Police Chief Larry Hesseltine, the injured motorcyclist lay in a ditch for hours before recovering enough to seek help on his own. 

This November, a signed piece donated by Newcastle’s Glenn Chadbourne will go up for auction as part of the Bath Area Family YMCA’s Forever Grateful online auction event.

Damariscotta-based Central Lincoln County Ambulance Service approved its 2022 budget in the amount of $1,641,570.43, an increase of $448,870.43 or 37.63%, on Monday, Oct. 25.
