Girl Scout Troop No. 1145 will open a temporary a drive-thru cookie sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays, April 6 and April 13. The drive thru booth will be set up at 441 Main Street, across from Dunkin’ Donuts in Damariscotta.

Novelist Kay Tobler Liss will be the featured author at The Sounding Board on Thursday, April 11 at Merry Barn Writers’ Retreat. Liss’ most recent work, “Coming Home,” was released in December 2023 to much praise.

Entering its 35th year in preservation, the Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway has grown from an ambitious dream and a single building on Cross Road in Alna in 1989, to one of the nation’s foremost heritage railways: a reconstruction of the narrow gauge railroad which served the Sheepscot Valley until 1933.
