Rodney “Rod” Elbert Harrington, 93, died peacefully on July 18, 2025, with his wife, Ilga, and daughter, Jennifer, at his side with the sounds of a recording of his playing the piano. He was born on Jan. 9, 1932, in Mayville, N.D., son of Elbert and Marjorie Mayberry Harrington.

Neil C. Harris, 71, of Waldoboro, passed away at his home on July 13, 2025. Born and raised in Waldoboro to parents Fred and Evelyn (Benner) Harris, Neil was a true local. He graduated from Medomak Valley High School in 1972 and spent most of his life always on the move and rarely without a project.

Elizabeth Carmick Noyes, always known as Betsy, was born in Georgetown, Washington, D.C., on Aug. 17, 1933 and passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on the morning of July 16, 2025. A woman of boundless curiosity, compassion, and quiet strength, Betsy lived a life shaped by adventure, service, and a deep love for learning.

Linda Jean (Munsey) Achorn, 70, of Waldoboro, passed away peacefully with her two daughters and partner by her side at MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital in Damariscotta on July 14, 2025 after a brief period of declining health.

Charles L. Sawyer, Jr., 83, of Bristol, passed away on the morning of July 17, 2025 at MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital in Damariscotta.  Born in Fort Ann, N.Y. on Feb. 6, 1942, he was the son of Dorothea (Hodgdon) and Charles L. Sawyer Sr.

Natalia, fondly known as “Ty,” of Whitefield, age 76, passed away peacefully with her husband, sons, and sister by her side on July 7, 2025 after a lengthy illness.

Sally Nielsen Hough, 90, of Nobleboro, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025 at The Lincoln Home in Newcastle surrounded by family.
