Ernest “Ernie” E. Black II, 71, died Oct. 28 in Marlborough, Mass. Ernie was born Dec. 13, 1951, to Edwin Black and Edna Jacobsen Black. Ernie is survived by his wife, Mary Black; and by his loving family.

Dwight “Paul” Benner passed away unexpectedly Oct. 27 in Machias. Paul was born in Damariscotta on May 5, 1957 to Daniel and Ella (Willey) Benner Sr.

Bonnie L. York, 71, of Damariscotta, passed away on the afternoon of Oct. 27, 2023 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta, with her loving son, Darren, her sister, Terry, and her nephew, Aaron, by her side. Born in Damariscotta on Aug. 5, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Mabel Fanny “Ann” Pagurko.

Kristin Lynn Martin Turcotte went home to be with her lord and savior, Jesus Christ on Oct. 21, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Jefferson, into a Christian home on Nov. 6, 1972, to Charles M. Martin and Ann Hewett Martin. She attended Jefferson Village School from kindergarten to eighth grade and then went on to Medomak Valley High School where she graduated in 1990.

James Kerr Skilling, 92, a longtime resident of Newcastle, passed away on Oct. 24, 2023 at Lincoln Health – Miles Campus in Damariscotta.

Lorna M. Lash, 74, of Friendship, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at the Sussman House in Rockport on Oct. 23, 2023. Lorna was born on Nov. 17, 1948, to Austin G. Miller Jr. and Mary V. (Black) Miller.

Eleanor Louise Winchenbach Smith, 101, a Waldoboro native and longtime resident, died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023, at her home on Bremen Road just miles from where she was born, succumbing to old age.

William “Bill” W. Crocker, of Litchfield, was 86 when he passed away peacefully at his home on Oct. 17, 2023 with his loving family by his side. Born in Belgrade on Dec. 19, 1936, he was the youngest child of Winford W. Crocker and Hazel Taylor Crocker.

John Ruit III, born on Aug. 4, 1951 in Paterson, N.J., departed this world on Oct. 7, 2023, after battling esophageal cancer. He was 72 years old.

Marjory Lucy (Robbins) (Feeney) Lalime, 91, of Damariscotta peacefully passed away on Oct. 12, 2023, with her loving family at her side, at LincolnHealth’s Miles Campus in Damariscotta.

Jan passed away at her home on Oct. 19, 2023 with friends and hospice by her side. She was born on May 28, 1958 in Leonardtown, Md. She is predeceased by her parents, Harry Milford Rice and Tillie Patricia Kerepka Rice; and a sister, Patricia Graves.

Deanna Marie Piccirillo, 77, of Bradford Road, in Wiscasset, passed away on Monday, Oct. 16, 2023.
