Theta, née Shirley M. Crane, passed away at the age of 76 at home on Sept. 22 in the arms of her husband of 49 years after a number of years of relentless physical and cognitive decline. She was born in Mountain Lakes, N.J., the fourth and youngest daughter of the late Ralph M. Crane, D.O., and the late Marion Louise (Wells) Crane.

Norris August Browne (“Brownie” to everyone who knew him), 89, passed away on Sept. 17, 2022. He was able to have all his family with him before he passed, and he will forever be remembered by all.

Pamela Nichols, 87, passed away on Sept. 19, 2022, at LincolnHealth – Miles Campus surrounded by her loving family.

Dorothea Mathilda Wilhelmina Cadow Vogel, 93, passed away Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022, peacefully at Hodgdon Green Assisted Living Facility, Damariscotta. Dorothea was born Dec. 6, 1928, to Franz Paul Cadow and Helene (Reichlin) Cadow.

Frazier Hart, 65, son of George and Josephine Hart, passed away on Sept. 16, 2022. He was born at LincolnHealth – Miles Campus in Damariscotta, and was a 1975 graduate of The Dr. Franklin Perkins School in Lancaster, Mass. Over the years he attended Mobius in Damariscotta and Creative Works in Augusta.

On Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022, Debbie Ann Jordan, 58, of Union, passed away peacefully at her home. She was born to Virginia and Frank Fogg Sr. in Rockland on Jan. 22, 1964.

“Penny” Scherer, an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many, passed away peacefully on Sept. 11, 2022 with her beloved family by her side. Born on June 15, 1938 in Oceanside, Long Island, N.Y. to Albert and Dorothy Mabry, she joined her brother, Burt Mabry, now deceased.

Hazel Agnes (Tibbetts) Kleinschmidt, 86, passed away in Camden on Sept. 16, 2022. Hazel was the daughter of the late Annie Seigers, Hubley, Tibbetts, Baker and the late Fredrick Tibbetts.

Sylvia Lee, 87, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, educator, and master blueberry pie baker, died peacefully on Sept. 18, 2022 at Cove’s Edge Nursing Home, in Damariscotta. She was the daughter of Henry H. Thompson and Julia (Dolly) Philbrook. Cause of death was progression of Alzheimer’s Disease.

Carrol D. Farmer, 81, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away peacefully at Bayfront Health in Punta Gorda, Fla. on Aug. 17, 2021.

Helen Highley Matel passed peacefully at Chase Point Assisted Living in Damariscotta on Sept. 1, 2022. She was lovely, gracious and welcoming and derived her zest for life from her four children and six grandchildren as well as her many friends.

Donald James Stevenson was born on Jan. 10, 1941, in Albany, N.Y. He was the only child of Archibald James Stevenson and Agnes McPhee Stevenson. He passed away from pancreatic cancer on Sept. 3, 2022 in the comfort of his home of 52 years in Round Pond.

Donald K. Leeman Jr., 55, of Bremen, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Sept. 17, 2022. He was born on July 26, 1967 in Damariscotta, the son of Donald and Marilyn Leeman of Bristol. After graduating from Lincoln Academy in 1985, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served in the Gulf War.

Shirley Ann Main, 86, of Wiscasset, passed away on the morning of Sept. 14, 2022 at St. Andrew’s Village in Boothbay after a period of declining health. Shirley was born in Worcester, Mass. on Dec. 11, 1935.
