Kevin L. Benner Jr., 37, of Boynton Beach, Fla., formerly of Damariscotta, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024 after a sudden brain injury. A memorial service is being planned and will be announced at a later date. Full obituary to follow.
At the Speedway Wiscasset Speedway Sends Off 2024 Race Season With Annual Fall Fury Event
After six months of racing excitement, Wiscasset Speedway bid adieu to their 2024 race season on Saturday with their annual Fall Fury event. This year’s program included the Wicked Good Vintage Racers, the Ladies Acceleration Tour, and a 150-lap enduro.

Trunk-or-Treat Returns to Damariscotta Oct. 31
The Damariscotta Police Department, the Central Lincoln County YMCA, and Great Salt Bay Community School are once again teaming up for a Halloween Trunk-or-Treat. The event will take place in GSB’s front parking lot from 4-6 p.m. on Halloween, Thursday, Oct. 31.

Michael Paul Dickson
Michael Paul Dickson, 45, of Wiscasset, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024. He suffered from many long-term health issues. He leaves behind his aunt, Anne Wright (whom he called his second mother); and his two siblings, Bruce and Kimberly; along with many nephews and cousins. His father, Paul, passed in 2022; followed by his mother, Diane, in 2023.
