Community Celebration at Twisted Iron Sept. 29 Through Oct. 1
Twisted Grill in Edgecomb will be having its grand opening Friday through Sunday, Sept. 29, 30, and Oct. 1. This three-day event will be celebrating not only Twisted Grill’s long-awaited opening, but its surrounding businesses Twisted Iron Customs, Twisted Tattoo, Simple Creations, and its much-appreciated community.

Russ and Ellen Fortin, of Linden, Mich., are very happy to announce the birth of their second daughter, Addison James, on June 21. Addison was born in Flint, Mich. at 1 p.m., weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces and was 20 3/4 inches long. Her big sister Jordan is thrilled to have a sister!

Last week we were promised a rousing departure of summer as we tracked Hurricane Lee along the Eastern Seaboard with a promise of high winds and lots of rain. By Friday, anyone with a boat had it safely stashed away for storage or in a safe harbor. Homeowners secured anything liable to topple or be blown away. My 5-foot potted dahlia in full second bloom was moved to our porch for protection.

Medomak Valley Senior Citizen News
Medomak Valley Seniors came together Monday, Sept. 11, at the North Nobleboro Community Center, located at 554 Upper East Pond Road. Doors opened at 9:30 a.m. Bingo started at 10 a.m. and Gladys Glidden won the special bingo prize.
Midcoast Conservancy Full Moon Paddle Sept. 28
Midcoast Conservancy will host a full moon paddle at the Hidden Valley Nature Center in Jefferson from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept 28. Participants can enjoy the silvery glow of the harvest moon from canoes provided by the nature center as they glide along Little Dyer Pond after a beautiful mile-and-a-half hike into the woods.

In our grief and sadness we announce the death of our beloved mother, Lenora Mae Jackson Bunker. We have peace knowing she has gone home to be with her lord and savior Jesus Christ, after serving him faithfully for many years.
