Romeo Rosaire “Gabe” Gaboury Jr., age 74, passed away peacefully at home, with his beloved wife Ann (or “Annabell” as Gabe called her) by his side, after a nine-month battle with colon cancer. His final days were spent surrounded by his loving family. Gabe was born in Augusta, to the late Romeo and Evelyn (Peaslee) Gaboury, on Aug. 1, 1949.

It is with the heaviest hearts, that we announce the untimely passing of Elizabeth Michelle “Liz” Boynton. Born in Damariscotta on Dec. 15, 1981, she was the daughter of Dwayne L. Boynton and Patricia M. (Tootell) Boynton. She died unexpectedly on Nov. 2, 2023 in Cape Coral, Fla.

Linda M. Delano, 70, of Wiscasset, passed away Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023 after a brief illness, with family and friends by her side.

Joyce Nunan Mercier passed away at dawn on Sept. 15, 2023 at home in Edgecomb with her devoted family.

Daniel Edward Wells, 76, died Nov. 9, 2023 at his home in Boothbay. Dan was born Nov. 20, 1946, in Lewiston, to Forest Wells and Phyllis Alden Wells. He grew up in Turner and attended Turner Elementary School, and graduated from Leavitt Institute in the class of 1964. He studied engineering in community college, which led to a career at Munsingwear in Minneapolis, Minn. He later became owner of Mikros Inc. in Ashland, Wis., which made braces of all kinds. He lastly worked as a sales clerk at Log Cabin Shoes in Boothbay. Dan enjoyed playing golf, crossword puzzles, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

On the evening of Oct. 26, 2023, Buzz Ropes passed away peacefully. Buzz was born Feb. 27, 1948 in Montclair, N.J., to Bertah Whitney “Bud” and William A. Ropes II “Bill.” Shortly after, Bill introduced his wife and son to his beloved state of Maine, driving from New Jersey in a model T Ford. Buzz spent his childhood in Round Pond with his sisters, Susan and Claudia.

Clarence “Ken” R. Colby Jr., 78, of Wiscasset, died on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023 at his home.

Isabel Brackett, 85, of New Harbor, passed away on the morning of Nov. 7, 2023 at Chase Point in Damariscotta, after a period of declining health. Born on May 3, 1938, she was the daughter of Frederick and Lillian (Jones) Olson.

Judy B. Sipple, 65, of Whitefield, passed away suddenly on Monday, Oct. 30, 2023 at LincolnHealth’s Miles Campus in Damariscotta.
