While the schoolhouse at the Waldoborough Historical Society is not open yet for the season, the trustees know that parents and students alike are working diligently at home to complete schoolwork. The society would like to offer students a research and writing challenge with the opportunity to win a $25 gift card to the location of their choosing. Students of all ages are encouraged to participate and the contest will be judged by grouping grades together: 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12.

Merry Barn Book Lending Program
Although schools and libraries are closed, the Merry Barn Writers’ Retreat encourages children to continue reading, writing, and creating. To facilitate, Merry Barn is lending books to children in the Midcoast area and will curate a collection based on kids’ wishes, use gloves and wipes to sanitize books, and leave the books on the porch by the side entrance of the barn.

This is my Easter story.
Up early this morning to get to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Brunswick to photograph the Easter Mass. St. John’s is not in Lincoln County, but power outages prevented the service from taking place in St. Patrick’s in Newcastle. St. Patrick’s is the historic church that I have been photographing.
County Seeks Volunteers to Shop for People in Quarantine
The Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency wants to help those people in Lincoln County affected by Gov. Janet Mills’ recent executive order requiring anyone returning to the state of Maine to self-quarantine for 14 days.
