Medomak Valley baseball won their KVAC finale 2-0 over Oceanside on May 31 in the Panthers den. Matt Holbrook struck out 12 in the win. Duncan Oakes-Nelson threw a two hitter in the loss.
York Upsets Medomak Girls Tennis York 3 - Medomak 2
York raided the Panther den for a 3-2 win in girls tennis preliminary action on May 31. Three matches went to three sets in the hotly contested match-up.
Lincoln Academy Splits with Morse KVAC season finale
Lincoln Academy softball defeated Morse 4-3 on May 31. Grace Houghton struck out 13 in the win. Trailing by one, the Lady Eagles rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh to win. Houghton and Paige Lafrenaye walked, and pinch runner Bronwen Coffin scored on a passed ball to tie the game, and Lafrenaye scored on a wild pitch for the game winner.
Lincoln Boys Third, Girls Fourth at KVAC Championships
Lincoln Academy boys placed third at the KVAC small school championships, held at Cony High School in Augusta on May 27. Leavitt won with 195.5 points to beat Winslow 136. Lincoln scored 91.
Vannoy Wins KVAC 800, and Morris the KVAC 1600 Medomak girls win KVAC 4x400 relay
Medomak Valley’s Annie Vannoy won the KVAC medium school division 800m championship on May 27 at Cony High School in Augusta. Noah Morris won the KVAC 1600m.
Lady Eagles Tame the Raiders Lincoln Academy 18 – Winslow 8
Lincoln Academy girls lacrosse team defeated Winslow 18-8 on May 27 in the Eagles’ nest.
Lady Eagles Win KVAC Class B Tennis Championships
Lincoln Academy girls tennis team wrapped up their season perfectly, with a 12-0 record. They are the 2022 KVAC Class B champions.
Boothbay-Wiscasset Girls 4×800, and Ames Win MVC Titles
Boothbay-Wiscasset girls won the Mt.Valley Conference 4×800 relay championship on May 26 at Lisbon High School. The girls won in 12:10 with Julia Truesdell, Emme Harris, Grace Campbell and Maddie Orchard running a leg.

Mariners Ground Eagles in Rockland Harbor Oceanside 3 - Lincoln 0
Oceanside baseball defeated Lincoln Academy 3-0 on May 25 in Rockland. Austin Chilles and Connor Calderwood combined for 3 hits, and 14 strike outs in the shut-out win. Riley DeLisle took the loss, and Nick Prior pitched two scoreless innings in relief.
