Lady Seahawks Take Mustangs for a Ride Boothbay 46 – Monmouth 41
Boothbay girls basketball team defeated Monmouth 46-41 on Feb. 25 in the Seahawks nest. The Lady Seahawks led 17-11 at the quarter break, trailed 23-21 at the half and 31-30 at the end of three, before rallying for 16 points in the fourth quarter to pull out the win. Glory Blethen netted 12 points in the final period, including going 4 for 4 at the line to lead the Seahawks comeback.

Due to a facility issue at Boothbay Region High School, Lincoln Academy will now be hosting both the varsity girls and varsity boys basketball games on Friday, Feb. 26.

Medomak Valley boys basketball team raided the Eagles nest for a 67-41 win on Feb. 23. The Panthers jumped out to an 18-7 first quarter lead and extended it to 45-15 at the half and 57-31 at the end of three.
Lady Panthers Rally Over Eagles Medomak 44 - Lincoln 39
Medomak Valley girls basketball team captured a 44-39 win over Lincoln Academy on Feb. 23 in the Panthers den. The two cross county rivals battled it out the entire game. Medomak led 11-5 at the quarter break and 20-15 at the half, before the Eagles tied the game at the end of three, 27-27.

Lady Seahawks Soar Over Bobcats Boothbay 44 - Richmond 32
Boothbay Region girls basketball team defeated visiting Richmond 44-32 on Feb. 18. The Bobcats led 6-2 early before the Lady Seahawks netted 16 straight points over two quarters to put the game away.
Smooth Sailing for Mariners in Eagles Nest Oceanside 86 - Lincoln 26
An experienced Mariner team raided Eagle territory for a 86-26 win on Feb. 17. The Mariners jumped out to an 18-6 first quarter lead, then held Lincoln to a single basket in the second frame to put the game away early.
Mariners Ground the Lady Eagles Oceanside 70 - Lincoln 30
Oceanside girls basketball team defeated Lincoln Academy 70-30 on Feb. 17 in Rockland. The Lady Mariners jumped out to a 23-10 first quarter lead and scored 24 unanswered points at the end of the first period and beginning of the second to put the game away early. The Mariners sank 13 3-pointers in the win, led by Grace Woodman with five and Audrey Mackie four.
Ice Palace Opens in Boothbay
Food Trucks A-Go in Boothbay has built the first ice palace in Maine made from running water that has been frozen into a giant castle. Eighty to 100 years ago there were a few ice castles in Maine, but they were made from blocks of ice. The Boothbay Ice Palace is complete with hallways and a grand staircase to the roof.
Lincoln vs. Oceanside Games Moved Up Moved to Wed., Feb. 17
Due to the impending weather at the end of the week, Lincoln Academy has moved their Friday basketball games to this Wednesday, Feb. 17, two days early. The game times will remain the same, boys varsity at LA at 6:30 p.m., and the girls varsity at 4:30 p.m. at Oceanside.
