Coastal Rivers Seeks Volunteer Courtesy Boat Inspectors
The connected lakes and ponds of the Pemaquid River system are enjoyed by many as places to boat, fish, swim, and take in the sights and sounds of nature. To help protect them from the introduction of invasive aquatic plants, Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust participates in the courtesy boat inspection program in collaboration with Maine Department of Environmental Protection and the Maine Lakes Environmental Association.

For 45 years, the Carpenter’s Boat Shop has welcomed teams of apprentices with programs that begin with basic woodworking skills and extend into community-service programs that support the Pemaquid peninsula.
