Jacqueline Sirois, 64, passed away on Oct. 27, 2025 after losing an aggressive battle with Alzheimer’s. Jacquie was born on Sept. 30, 1961 in Buffalo, N.Y. She then grew up in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Over her adolescent years, she eventually moved to Machias, where she would attend the University of Maine and meet her husband, Mike Sirois.

Sheala O’Brien Jackovich was born 95 years ago in Durban, South Africa as an only child where her father, Terrence, raised greyhounds. Sheala met Tony, her beloved husband, at a roller rink in Durban when he was in port as a Merchant Marine. They returned to the states and settled in many places over the years, including California, London, New York City, Galveston, and Vermont, just to name a few. They bought their home in Round Pond in the late 1960s and spent a few years summering there while they renovated and winterized.

Barbara Kelley Cundy, 91, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Oct. 25, 2025 at St. Andrews Village in Boothbay Harbor. Barbara was born Dec. 21, 1933 in Boothbay Harbor to John Scott Kelley and Estella M. Pinkham Kelley. Barbara grew up in Boothbay Harbor and attended local schools.

What began in 1958 at the junior prom at Huntington High School on Long Island, N.Y. ended on Oct. 12, 2025 with the passing of Marion A. Olson, 82, of Nobleboro. Marion was a loving, caring, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She lived the active life she wanted and was most proud of successfully raising two sons and a husband.

Jeremy Ray Gardner, 65, of Wiscasset, passed at home following a long illness. Jeremy was born in South Charleston, W.Va., where he resided until enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 1978. He spent 11 years as a gunner’s mate.

Robert Phillip Wareheim, 70, passed away on Oct. 17, 2025, at home with his cat on his lap and surrounded by his wife and children, after a long battle with Type 1 diabetes.

Franklyn Richard Tichy died peacefully at home at the age of 97, surrounded by family, caregivers, and his beloved wife of 67 years, Carol. Frank was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He spent his summers in Interlocken, Mich. becoming a skilled sailor, a passion that stayed with him the rest of his life.

Gaye Farnsworth, a radiant soul for her kind heart and adventurous spirit, passed away peacefully on Oct. 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving husband and devoted family. She was born on Oct. 10, 1946 in Bath and spent her childhood in Damariscotta, where she began a lifelong journey of learning and discovery.

John Wilfred Flood passed away peacefully on Sept. 8, 2025 at the age of 92. He was born on Jan. 1, 1933 in Augusta to Alice V. Flood, DDS, and Everett David Flood.

It is with great sadness that we share that John H. Small has returned home. He passed away Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025 at Cove’s Edge.

Robert Arthur “Bob” Blanchard spent most of his life surrounded by engines, salt, air, and family. A lifelong marine mechanic and businessman, he found peace in the rhythm of the tides and pride in a job done right.

June “Sandy” (Sandell) Sarmanian, of Wells and formerly Edgecomb, and Lexington and Northborough, Mass., passed away on Oct. 14, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Jack (Hagop) Sarmanian; and devoted mother of David Sarmanian and his wife, Donna, and Julie Sarmanian and her fiancee, Arra Zeytoonian.
