Lloyd Wilson Light, 83, of Waldoboro, passed away at home on the sunny Sunday, May 12, 2024 with family at his bedside, leaving all the pain of years behind.

Perry A. Waltz, 75, of Fairfield, and formerly of Damariscotta, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, May 9, 2024. Born in Damariscotta on May 26, 1948, he was the son of Shirley (Banks) and Waldo Waltz.

George F. Sefcik, 78, of Edgecomb, passed away at his home in Edgecomb, with his loving family by his side. Born in Belford, N.J. on April 30, 1946, George Sefcik served in the Army before becoming an auto mechanic. He went on to teach high school auto shop, spending 20 years training the next generation of mechanics.

Carol A. Johnsen, age 86, longtime resident of Edgecomb, wife of the late Arnold “Arne” Johnsen, died on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at LincolnHealth’s Miles Campus, in Damariscotta.

Scott Eric Simmons, 53, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Damariscotta on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. Born on Jan. 28, 1971, he was the youngest of four children, born to Charlotte and Lowell Simmons. He is survived by his wife, Julie; and his two children, Brian and Sarah.

Richard “Dick” Sundberg, of Damariscotta, passed away on May 9, 2024 at the age of 86. Dick grew up with his two siblings, Janet and Gordon, in Warwick, R.I. After high school he served as a communications specialist with the U.S. Army in Korea. Upon return from Korea he studied computer programming at the University of Rhode Island. Dick worked in computer services at various Rhode Island higher education institutions, including URI, Rhode Island College, and the Community College of Rhode Island, until his retirement.

Donna A. Nash, 87, passed away on May 8, 2024 at the Sussman House in Rockport. Donna was born Dec. 30, 1936 in Worcester, Mass., to Donald Simmons and Gertrude Beane Simmons. Donna grew up in Muscongus and loved to swim in the ocean off what she called the “big rock.” She graduated from Waldoboro High School in the class of 1955.

Albert L. Rines, of Wiscasset, was born on Dec. 25, 1941, and passed away on May 9, 2024 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Bonnie Lou Cunningham, 78, of Nobleboro, passed away at her home on the evening of April 29, 2024 after a period of declining health, with her loving daughter by her side.

Daniel C. Seiders IV left this world on May 8, 2024, at the Brentwood Center for Health & Rehabilitation in Yarmouth, after a long battle with lewy body with dementia. He was born on Sept. 21, 1963, in Jacksonville, Fla. at the naval base where his father was stationed. Danny was the third of five children, born to Daniel C. Seiders III and Marilyn E. (Knight) Seiders. After spending his first three years in Florida, the family moved back to Maine in 1966.
