Floyd “Kelly” Callahan, 65, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Portland, on June 26, 2023. Born on July 15, 1957 in Damariscotta, he was the son of Richard and Bethiah (Steer) Callahan.

Nathanael Wyatt Read, 10, of Waldoboro and Warren, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 26, 2023, at the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital in Portland after a long and heroic nine-month battle with leukemia. Nathanael was born on March 16, 2013, to Cynquany (Gregory) Read and Levi Read.

Leland “Lee” Joseph Hague III, 80, of Eagle Cove, Woolwich died Sunday, June 25, 2023, at his residence.

Tammy Ann Saxton, 47, of Gardiner Road, Wiscasset died Sunday, June 25, 2023, at LincolnHealth’s Miles Campus in Damariscotta.

Susan Rand Rotch, 79, died June 8, 2023, in Peterborough. Susan was born on Oct. 31, 1943, in Hanover, N.H., the daughter of John A. and Sarah Howland Rand. She grew up in Hanover where she enjoyed figure skating, skiing, Girl Scouting, and exploring the natural world. She attended Connecticut College (then known as Connecticut College for Women) where she earned a degree in botany in 1965.

Matthew D. Woods, 56, of Waldoboro, passed away at his home due to health complications.

Lee Ann Barron, 67, of Nobleboro, with her husband, Lyndon Barron, by her side, and surrounded by her loving family, passed away on the morning of June 20, 2023 after a long battle with breast cancer.

Kenneth Lewis Boyd, aged 78, residing in Rock Cave, W.Va. passed away suddenly on June 9, 2023. Kenny was born July 15, 1944, in Rockland, son of late Lewis and Florence Lewis Boyd. He grew up in Newcastle, where he spent most of his life.

Dr. K. Frank Austen of Wellesley, Mass., and Damariscotta, a noted physician-scientist in immunology/allergy and rheumatology for six decades at Harvard Medical School (HMS), died at his home in Maine on June 23, 2023, at the age of 95.

Carolyn May Pitcher, 78, of Brooksville, Fla., passed away June 22, 2023, with her husband and best friend by her side. She was born to the late Lloyd Jones and Shirley Jones on Jan. 24, 1945, in Taunton, Mass.

Susan J. Renelt, 85, of Bremen, passed away at the Sussman House in Rockport on the morning of June 21, 2023. Sue, the eldest daughter of Arthur and Ruth (Berger) Jones, was born on June 12, 1938 in Rochester, N.Y.
