Betty Sawyer, 91, passed peacefully at home in Wiscasset on May 8, 2023. Born in Skowhegan, Betty lived most of her life in Mechanic Falls. There she made life-long friendships and met the love of her life in Norman Sawyer. They married in 1951 and soon welcomed their children, David and Crystal. Her mother-in-law, Violet, inspired Betty’s life-long love of reading, which was later supported by the librarians at the Wiscasset Public Library.

Simon V. Keochakian died on April 7, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass. after battling cancer. He was 87 years old. He was preceded in death by Joan, his beloved wife of 64 years, in 2021.

Marilyn Welsh Andrews, 94, passed away at LincolnHealth’s Miles Campus on May 6, 2023. Marilyn was born on Sept. 4, 1928, in Summit, N.J. to Ralph B. Welsh and Lenora Titman Welsh.

Flora Elizabeth Bowden, 94, passed away on May 3, 2023, at her home in Warren surrounded by her family. Flora was born in Friendship to Emery and Lena Carter Simmons on July 4, 1928.

Linda Ann Falagario, 77, of Gorham, passed away peacefully after a short illness, at her home on May 8, 2023. Linda was born on Dec. 21, 1945, in Farmingdale, N.Y., to Kathryn and Rocco Posillico. She was the wife and best friend of the late Anthony “Tony” Falagario, with whom she shared an everlasting love.

Robert “Bob” D. Hahn passed away peacefully on May 8, 2023 at LincolnHealth’s Miles Campus in Damariscotta. He was born on Jan. 29, 1935, in Waldoboro to George and Gladys Hahn and was the youngest of six children.

Philip was born on Groundhog Day to Lawrence and Pauline (Prior) Studley, in Damariscotta.
