Marlene Burns, 87, passed peacefully on Oct. 10, 2025 at Cove’s Edge Nursing Center in Damariscotta.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of Anthony “Tony” A. Tozier, 56, of Jefferson, who passed away at his home on Sept. 19, 2025, surrounded by love from his beloved wife, Cindy.

The world lost a bright light when Judith Anne Mitchell died suddenly of natural causes, on June 3, 2024. She was born in New York City to musical parents: her father, William, was a musicologist and professor at Columbia University; her mother, Adelheid (Wagner), was a concert pianist.

Megan’s life began on June 14, 1989, born to Sheldon (Ted) and Sherry Hodgdon. She is the younger sister to Troy Hodgdon and Sarah Winchenbach, the baby of her family. She was a happy yet stubborn child, causing her parents some grief with a few phone calls from her elementary school teachers and principal, even given an unhappy face on her second grade report card because she did not want to participate in gym class. Her stubborn will continued throughout her life, which turned out to be one of her greatest qualities. It gave her the desire and push to focus on her education graduating from Boothbay Region High School in 2007 and completing her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from the University of Maine Farmington in 2016 with the magna cum laude distinction.

Adelaide Albright, 27, of Waldoboro, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025. Born Gavin Stephens on March 12, 1998 to John and Becky Stephens, Addi was the baby of the family for a long time.

Dennis E. Soule, 81, of Wiscasset, passed away after a period of declining health on the morning of Oct. 3, 2025 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta. Born on Sept. 24, 1944, he was the son of Catherine (Caton) and Francis Soule Sr.

Jay Sumner Bailey, at the age of 78, passed away at Maine Medical Center on Sept. 30, 2025 while surrounded by his loving family.

Janice F. Orff, 93, of Jefferson, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025. She passed away at the Maine Veterans’ Home in Augusta after an apparent stroke earlier in the week.

Former top-selling Lincoln County Realtor Tracy Hunter, who passed peacefully Sept. 27, 2025, loved her family, friends, and multiple career chapters including international tour guide, cruise director, senior center activities director, and founder of a successful event-planning series for singles.

Thomas J. Galvani, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Aug. 5, 2025 at his home in Zephyrhills, Fla. after a courageous battle with cancer.

Paul H. Miete Jr., age 90, died peacefully alongside family on July 28, 2025 in Brunswick.

Christian Lee Snape, 21, known fondly as “Chrish,” passed suddenly on Sept. 28, 2025 as the result of a motorcycle accident. Christian was born on Sept. 3, 2004 in Damariscotta. Christian’s sudden passing is a devastating loss that will reach beyond the small town that he was raised in.
