Patricia F. Noyes passed away on Aug. 13, 2023, at the age of 73 in Damariscotta. She was born on Dec. 19, 1949 in Gloucester, Mass. to the late Richard P. Ryan and Mary (Marr) Ryan.

Merrill G. Leavens, of Waldoboro and Quincy, Mass., passed away on Aug. 17, 2023 at the age of 99, surrounded by his loving family in the home he built in Squantum, Mass. in 1948. Born in Dorchester, Mass., to Josephine (Ulrich) and Merrill W. Leavens. He graduated from Boston Mechanics High School before serving in the Navy during WWII. He was stationed at Clark Airbase and Palawan Island in the Pacific and served as a 3rd class aviation metalsmith.

M. Robert Barter, 94, of Boothbay Harbor, passed away peacefully on Aug. 4, 2023, at St. Andrews Village in Boothbay Harbor. He was born May 6, 1929, in Lubec to parents Merrill S. and Ora (Small, later Dodge) Barter.

Zoe Pearl Danforth, born April 10, 1996 in Portland, passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 3, 2023, surrounded by family. Zoe was raised in Jefferson where she attended the local school. She then graduated from Hall-Dale High School in 2014.

Patricia A. Connors, 75, passed away on Friday, Aug. 11, 2023 at Sunnybrook Senior Living.

Shirley Ann (Yeaton) Anderson, 79, of Bremen, passed away peacefully leaving her earthly struggles behind to be with her savior on Aug. 10, 2023.

Carolyn Frances Kaler, 101, went to be with her Lord, Aug. 6, 2023, at her home with her family at her side.

Gregory M. Holmes, 55, passed away unexpectedly July 31, 2023, doing what he loved, operating his business. Greg was born March 22, 1968, in Rockland, the son of the late Joyce Jackson and Frank “Beanie” Holmes Jr. Greg grew up in Waldoboro, Rockland, and Port Clyde, graduating from Georges Valley High School in 1987.

Raymond LaForest Perkins Jr., 95, of Waldoboro, passed away on Aug. 10, 2023, at Togus VA in Augusta. Raymond was born on Dec. 21, 1927, to Raymond L. Perkins Sr. and Ruby M. (Dyer) Perkins.

Susan Taylor died after a short but severe illness of a virulent form of cancer on July 4 in Knoxville, Tenn., surrounded by family and friends. She was a longtime resident of Chamberlain in the town of Bristol, and was very active in the community.

Joseph William Griffin, age 89, passed away on the morning of July 26, 2023 at his home in Damariscotta. Born in Damariscotta on Jan. 19, 1934, he was the youngest son of Martha (Tucker) and Ralph Griffin.
