Franklin R. Hayward passed away peacefully on June 8, 2022, surrounded by his family.

Sheila Mae (McKnight) Baldacchino, 72, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at her home in Bristol with family members by her side. She was born Sept. 17, 1949, the daughter of Ralph “Junior” and Evelyn “Nancy” (Brewer) McKnight in Boothbay Harbor.

Ellen B. Keast, of South Portland, died on Monday, May 30, 2022.

Carol Jean Curran (nee Gifford), 80, of New Harbor, died on May 10, 2022, at Calvert Memorial Hospital, Prince Frederick, Md. She was born Jan. 8, 1942 in Damariscotta. She graduated from Bristol High School in 1960. She attended the University of Maine-Portland studying liberal arts, where she met her husband of over 60 years, John Anthony Curran.

Carroll lived a wonderful life, happily married to Joseph Andrew Adams from June 1939 until his passing in June 2003.

A celebration of life gathering for Christopher Caswell, who passed away on Feb. 5, 2022, will be held from 12-4 p.m., on Saturday, June 18, at 12 Punk Point Road in Jefferson.

Nancy Gascoigne Richards, of Alexandria, Va. and Newcastle, died on May 25, 2022, at the age of 99 of natural causes in her home in Alexandria. For decades she had been an activist and community leader in the cause of historic preservation, a natural outgrowth of her family’s antiques business.
