George D. Hovey, 81, of New Harbor, and Huron, Ohio, passed away at the LincolnHealth-Miles Campus in Damariscotta on Friday, June 24, 2022, after a period of declining health. Born in Milo to Earl (Pete) and Elva Hovey, his family moved to Billerica, Mass. and lived there until his father was transferred to the Ford Motor Co. in Lorain, Ohio.

Mary Jane passed away with her children by her side at Cove’s Edge on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. Mary Jane is the daughter of the late Sterling and Gwendolyn (Pinkham) Oliver, of Nobleboro. She attended the local school.

Frances Strong “Bunny” (Bogardus) Lang was born Jan. 15, 1931 in Bronxville, N.Y., the daughter of John Arthur Bogardus and Elinor Morris Strong, sister of John (Jack) Bogardus Jr.

Bud was born March 24, 1929 in Glen Ridge, N.J., the son of William Christian Lang and Juliet Cornell Clark, and brother of Juliet Cornell Lang Mixon and Briscoe Baldwin Lang. He was a graduate of Glen Ridge High School and Dartmouth College, class of 1951. He joined the United States Marine Corps after college in 1951, and served in Korea through 1953.

Philip R. Peaslee passed away at The Woodlands on Sunday, June 26, 2022, with family by his side. He was born on April 27, 1932 in Somerville, the son of Clifton and Lucy (Hisler) Peaslee.

Pauline Joyce Fisher Steele was born on June 5, 1926 in Williamsport, Penn. to Clara Senna Nunn Fisher and Donald Elton Fisher. She passed away on June 21, 2022 in Damariscotta at the age of 96.

Virginia “Mickey” Chickering Brackett, 86, of Bristol, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2022 at Windward Gardens nursing home in Camden.

Warren Lincoln Moody, 91, passed away on May 26, 2022. Born in Waldoboro, a son of the late Percy Barrett Moody and the late Bertha Leora Maloney Moody, he was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

Phillip Wayne Hatch, 75, of Damariscotta, died unexpectedly at his home on Biscay Pond on June 19, 2022 with his wife Nancy at his side. Phil was born on May 24, 1947 at Miles Hospital to Jewell (Sidelinger) Hatch and Ervine Evander Hatch. Phillip was always proud of being a seventh generation Mainer from the Pemaquid peninsula, and he could show you where all of his namesakes were buried.

A memorial gathering for Dianne R. Caton, who passed away on March 4, 2022, will be held on Saturday, July 16 at the Wiscasset Yacht Club, 2 Water St., Wiscasset. Family and friends are invited to remember Dianne with a service at 2 p.m., followed by a gathering with light refreshments until 4 p.m.
