Martha Hanna Masters, 79, of Round Pond, passed away at her home on the morning of Oct. 14, 2023, with her loving sons by her side. Born in Hartford, Conn. on Nov. 21, 1943, she was the daughter of Carroll and Norma (Osier) Hanna.

Larry S. Cromwell, 62, of Westport Island, passed away on Oct. 11, 2023, with his family by his side following a long struggle with cancer. He was born on Aug. 13, 1961, a son of Francis and Phoebe (Greenleaf) Cromwell. Larry graduated from Morse High School. He worked with his father in construction before becoming a sternman on his grandfather’s lobster boat, which was by far his favorite job ever. Larry also worked with Asplundh Tree Service, Stinson’s Cannery in Bath, Riley’s Cannery, and the City of Bath Cemeteries and Parks Division.

Daniel A. Bigley, 80, died at home on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.

Jimmy L. Main, 69, of Boothbay Harbor, passed away at his home on Oct. 8, 2023.

Judith A. Collamore, 82, of Waldoboro, passed away peacefully on Oct. 11, 2023, at her home with her loving family by her side. Judith was born on Jan. 31, 1941, to Kenneth Seavey Elwell Jr. and Alda Bernadine (French) Elwell.

Robert Dean Naiva, age 89, of Harvard, Mass., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023. He was a loving husband of over 60 years to Delores (Thomas) Naiva.

Hester Stuhlman, the daughter of the Ven. Henry Krusen and Mildred Josephine (Saile) Krusen, and the wife of the Rev. Byron Stuhlman, died in hospice care at the Harborview Cottage on the morning of Oct. 9. Born on Sept. 12, 1943, in Manistee, Mich., she grew up in Central Falls, R.I. and Buffalo, N.Y.

Longtime Waldoboro resident, Janice White, 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Oct. 8 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. She was born Jan. 6, 1942 in Winterport, the daughter of June (Carleton) and Lamont Wadleigh.

Jan Douglas Martin Sr., “Pap,” passed peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2023 just after 9 a.m., surrounded by family. Jan will be remembered for the love he had and pride he took in his family, his work, and his love of the outdoors.

Earl Page Jr., 90, of Gardiner Road in Wiscasset, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2023 at Midcoast Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Henry D. Thompson Sr., a beloved pillar of Friendship, passed away and gained his wings on Sept. 29, 2023, after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born on Oct. 7, 1947, to John and Madeline Thompson in the very town he called home throughout his entire life.

Barbara Louise McLaughlin, 84, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 12 at home, surrounded by family. She grew up in Bremen, with one sister and five brothers. Childhood stories of a welcoming and loving home for friends and family, a pet pig, a dog named Penny and sisterly love fests involving torn dresses and scissors always made us laugh. Getting hit by a truck, hitchhiking, and sending tourists in circles were early signs of the mischief she enjoyed creating her whole life. This high school graduate was a smarty, sought out by engineers for her commonsense feedback on new products during her 19 years at GTE Sylvania. Her intelligence, work ethic, and silliness made her a beloved employee and friend.
