Anne “Annabelle” Baldwin of Tucson, Ariz. and formerly of Newcastle, died peacefully on May 5, surrounded by her family. She was 88 years old. Annabelle was a librarian, writer, storyteller, and a gentle, wistful, brave soul.

Mary Elizabeth Anderson March 24, 1941 - May 18, 2023

On the morning of May 18, Mary Elizabeth Anderson died peacefully in her sleep after a year-long decline in health. She was 82. Mary was born on March 24, 1941 in San Diego, Calif., to parents Julia and John Horvath, of Colorado, while John was serving in World War II.

David Scott Gilbert Feb. 28, 1960 - May 27, 2023

David Scott Gilbert, 63, of Damariscotta, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of Saturday, May 27, 2023. Born on Feb. 28, 1960, he was the son of Georgia Brewer, of Newcastle, and Rowland Gilbert Sr., of Damariscotta.

Tracy Bradford May 18, 1963 - May 26, 2023

This is not an ordinary obituary, because Tracy was not an ordinary person. She was extraordinary. Born Tracy Ann Lindemann on May 18, 1963, she entered this world in the Year of the Rabbit. People born in the Rabbit year are said to be gentle, kind, happy, and creative, with a peaceful, hopeful energy. This was Tracy. Dawn Ellen (Eugley) Wright, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on May 18, 2023, at her home in Nobleboro. She was born to Ruel and Elsie Eugley on Dec. 2, 1951, in Waldoboro. Dawn is the youngest of four children, cherished sister to Nancy E. Smith, Earlon Eugley, and Alan Eugley.

Waldoboro Voices ‘We Miss our Church. We Miss the People`

Lillian Dolloff had never heard of Waldoboro until she worked one summer at the Hotel Pemaquid. Three years later, she was living here. She and her husband, Ronald Dolloff, had just completed their studies, he from Bates, and she from business college. They were newly married and they had faith. He got the job he wanted, teaching math at Waldoboro High School.
