Kenneth C. Roever, 79, of Whitefield, passed away peacefully at home on May 21, 2023, with his beloved wife by his side following a period of declining health.

Dawn Wright Dec. 2, 1951 - May 18, 2023

Dawn Ellen (Eugley) Wright, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on May 18, 2023, at her home in Nobleboro. She was born to Ruel and Elsie Eugley on Dec. 2, 1951, in Waldoboro. Dawn is the youngest of four children, cherished sister to Nancy E. Smith, Earlon Eugley, and Alan Eugley.

Waldoboro Voices ‘We Miss our Church. We Miss the People`

Lillian Dolloff had never heard of Waldoboro until she worked one summer at the Hotel Pemaquid. Three years later, she was living here. She and her husband, Ronald Dolloff, had just completed their studies, he from Bates, and she from business college. They were newly married and they had faith. He got the job he wanted, teaching math at Waldoboro High School.

NCS Hosts State Fair

Visitors to the annual state fair at Nobleboro Central School learned all about the foods, flags, people, topography and landmarks of northeastern states.

Document Shredding at Dresden Town Office June 3

Local residents and businesses are encouraged to plan now for a shredding on site event from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, June 3 in the parking lot at the Dresden town office at 534 Gardiner Road.

The leaves have appeared on trees again and flowers have started to bloom again almost overnight. Looking around now, it feels almost as if we were not living in a wintry landscape just a few weeks ago.

Memorial Day Observance at Pownalborough Courthouse

Lincoln County Historical Association will carry out its 69th commemoration of Memorial Day at the Pownalborough Courthouse in Dresden on Monday, May 29. The gathering will be called together at 23 Courthouse Road at 11 a.m. to be led up the old road to the Court House Cemetery by members of the Colonial Maine Living History Association.
