Born in Kansas City, Mo., Craig Bolint passed away in hospice care in Brunswick, Ga. with his partner by his side. He is survived by his three children, Seth Bolint, Todd Bolint, and Heather Bolint; their mother, Pamela Skillman; and his partner of the last 15 years, Carol Guarnieri.

The ghost of Jacob Marley will try to help Scrooge mend his miserly ways in the River Company’s staged reading of the Charles Dickens classic “A Christmas Carol.” The reading will be performed in the Porter Hall at the Skidompha Library, Friday, Dec. 9, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 10 at 3 p.m.

Lincoln Academy ninth graders helped brighten the holidays for Thanksgiving and the local Villages of Light celebration. Students donated Thanksgiving baskets to the Ecumenical Food Pantry before Thanksgiving. On Saturday, Nov. 19 they helped set up Christmas trees in the Twin Villages, and on Saturday, November 26 they helped out with the holiday event that took place in the LA Dining Commons.
